People ask me sometimes where I learned to
build natural houses. I tell them in Kindergarten, when the table in
front of me was full of small things to build with, things we found in
the garbage or from nature. It was the playfulness that I can still
remember, how much joy that gave me. This is the main approach when I
build natural houses, intuitively but with enough common sense. I like
to share the experience of building and living in a natural house, as it
makes such a difference in how we experience life. In the last seven
years we had the pleasure to have hundreds of guests and tens of
volunteers whose eyes and senses were opened.

We were lucky to stay at Dennis' and Ayet's place for a whole week. Half the time we spent in the tree house and the other half in the sculptured... read more house.
The tree house was our favourite place to sleep. So beautifully built and decorated, with a window you can open and place yourself in, feet hanging from the house - great spot for breakfast. A big bed, comfy duvets. One night a tawny owl was calling in some nearby trees, and it was magical to experience.
Most of the days we stayed at Bluesberry Woods. We immersed ourselves in the quiet and calm environment, just reading and resting. In the meantime, Dennis and Ayet chipped away at their daily chores and new projects. This left us with a sense of gratefulness for this place, thinking about all the hours of work and effort put in to it.
In the evenings we sat around the fire with Dennis and Ayet. Sharing stories, opinions and views on all things life. Dennis and Ayet are wonderful people and we are very grateful to have met them.
